Skye is a sweet, affectionate little lady with a heart full of love—and a smile that will melt you! She bonds closely to her favorite person and thrives on companionship. While she’s initially shy around strangers, she’s never aggressive—she just warms up on her own schedule.

Good With:

Other small dogs (she enjoys playmates her size!)

People and older kids

Needs to Know:

Skye can be intimidated by larger dogs at first but warms up once she learns they’re safe.

She is not a fan of loud, young children.

Leash Training: Her foster mom is working on it… but honestly, it’s not going so hot!

Secure, physical fencing is a must. Skye is a determined door dasher and will take off if she’s spooked or if her person leaves the house. She needs a home where she is either crated or safely contained when unsupervised.

Potty trained: Skye needs her person to be with her in the yard—she won’t wander alone or go with other dogs.

Crate & Alone Time:

Will go into her crate willingly with a treat and sleeps quietly through the night.

May whine initially when left alone, and longer absences are stressful for her.

Best suited for a home where someone is around most of the day.

🐾 Adoption Info:

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following:

All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation.

All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations.

All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention.

Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
