My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thomas Shelby!

Thomas Shelby is an approximately 5-year-old male cat with the softest heart and the sweetest soul. He is incredibly passive, chill, and affectionate — the kind of cat who just wants to be near you, soaking up love and giving it right back. His calm, gentle nature makes him a joy to have around, and his foster mom absolutely adores him. He has quickly become a favorite thanks to his easygoing personality and constant affection.

Tommy does wonderfully with other cats and dogs and would likely thrive in a home with respectful children who understand how to be gentle with animals. He truly just wants to be your companion.

Before coming into foster care, Tommy was found in a cat colony where he was being bullied. Despite that, he remained extremely friendly and was often seen trying to get into people’s cars and seeking human attention, which suggests he was once a beloved pet who was unfortunately dumped. His trust in people never faded.

Tommy is fully vetted and healthy. Our veterinarian suspects he has feline herpes (which most cats do), likely prominent from his time outdoors when he was not well cared for. This does not stop him from living a happy, healthy life. He may need his eyes gently wiped from time to time, and a low-stress home environment helps tremendously. He also is on some supplements to help his immune system. Other than that, he is an easy, low-maintenance boy who just wants love.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will fit seamlessly into your home and your heart, Thomas Shelby is ready to be someone’s forever best friend.
