My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snorkasuarus!🦖🐾

Snorky came to us after being attacked by a dog and ending up at a local shelter… but you’d honestly never know it. He’s a happy, active little cuddlebug who just wants to be with his people! 💛

When Snorky arrived, we suspected he had a fractured leg along with puncture wounds. Thankfully, his recovery has been smooth—he only needed a splint and bandage changes every couple of days, plus some crate rest while he heals.

✨ Snorky’s favorite thing in the world? Humans.

He loves being close and will even cry when he’s away from his people.

Snorky has shown no interest in his foster's personal dogs or cats, and he doesn’t bark at them!

He’s also done great with the resident baby and has shown zero aggression—he’s truly just a sweet, gentle boy!

Snorky is a bit of a chewer. He loves grabbing sticks in the yard and anything he can get his mouth on inside, so he’ll do best with a home that can provide safe chew toys and supervision.

Snorky would be happiest with someone who can be home more often than not.

Overall, Snorky is an incredibly lovable, flexible pup who would make an amazing family dog.To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
