Here's what the humans have to say about me:
History: Rumple is a super sweet and handsome boy who needed help from a rural impound and was seeking a second chance. Some of his previous records suggest Aussiedoodle but we also aren’t convinced he is not a sheepadoodle so we are going with some sort of unique doodle of some sorts :) He is hoping to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Introducing Rumple. . .
Prepare to fall in love. With all his natural beauty and his happy spirit, this furball is sure to steal your heart!
Rumple was born May 18, 2025. At 7.5 months, he weighs 35 pounds.
Rumple has had his Intake Exam at Coco’s Heart Veterinary Clinic. He has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccines.
He is full of energy and is a vibrant, healthy puppy. Rumple has met all medical requirements and is ready for adoption.
He is listed as an Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix, but we think he has some Olde English Sheepdog in him.
Rumple will require a lot of maintenance because of his beautiful coat. You should expect that he will need to be brushed several times each week. He will also require grooming every 6-8 weeks. So far his coat has been non-shedding.
Rumple is still growing for sure and he will be a big dog. He will require lots of exercise. You should expect that he will need
at least 60-90 minutes of exercise every day.
Rumple sleeps through the night in his kennel next to our bed. He goes in his kennel in our kitchen during the day as needed when I am gone for appointments or errands. He also does well in a tall exercise pen.
He does love to jump up on people, so we are working on that.
He is doing great on his potty training on a schedule. I take him out about every 2 hours and he goes potty right away.
He’s working on his leash walking skills. He’s a very fast walker and likes to weave from side to side on the walking trail.
He loves his walks, but he needs to work on not pulling on the leash and walking beside me.
During this first week, possibly a honeymoon period, Rumple has not been a barker. However, he surprised me this morning when I took him out. Our neighbor was shoveling his driveway and Rumple barked a lot. So far, when he is in his kennel, he hasn’t barked, but sometimes he does whine a little. Rumple has not been around small children and he has not been around cats.
We do have a senior Labradoodle and Rumple wishes he was more interested in playing with him. Rumple is a delightful pup and he can’t wait to join his new family!
