Nearly 2 months ago, this sweet, handsome boy showed up in my yard without collar and with open wounds from what looked like a dog attack. Took him to the vet and found out he was microchipped to a neighbor about a half a mile away. This neighbor keeps him in an unfenced yard and he seemed to like my place better as he kept showing up on my porch. I initially set out some food/space heater for below freezing nights, expecting the owners to come and fix where he was escaping. That didn't happen. The neighbor got two new dogs as replacements and refuses to take this sweet boy back. I’ve contacted no-kill shelters, which are all full, and submitted an animal cruelty complaint with the SPCA, but he would do best in a loving home. I’ve brought him inside during freezing nights and he has shown himself to be well-behaved, animal friendly, and house trained. I’m often gone for multiple days on work trips and he remains abandoned. Please help loving Husker find a forever home.
