He’s the kind of cat who absolutely loves attention and affection… until he suddenly doesn’t—and he’s not shy about letting you know when he’s reached his limit. When Salsa Sam arrived at the shelter, he was an unfixed male, and all those hormones made him prone to becoming overstimulated. Because of that, he’ll do best with a family who understands feline body language and respects his boundaries. He enjoys human company and being near his people, but he appreciates affection on his own terms. Since Salsa Sam came to the shelter as a stray, we don’t yet know how he feels about sharing his space with other animals. New environments can be overwhelming for him, so he’ll need a dedicated space of his own when he first arrives home to help him adjust and feel secure. At heart, Salsa Sam is a wonderful, larger-than-life kind of guy—full of character, charm, and a little bit of sass.
