My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Aurora and Allie are bonded and will need to go home together! **

Say hello to Aurora and Allie, the bonded guinea pig sisters that are so excited to meet you! They had a bit of a rough start to life but are now looking for a fresh start with a loving family! While they were in foster before coming back to shelter, the girls were noted to enjoy being gently handled, love lots of space to run around and burn off that baby energy, and love chewing cardboard boxes! Just be sure that you`re prepared to provide the care a pair of sweet, shy baby guinea pigs will need to grow up healthy and strong! What are you waiting for? Come say hello to Aurora and Allie today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
