The first thing you might notice about Meo are his incredible “sleeve tattoo” markings, but he has a fabulous personality to match! Since he was rescued from the Houston streets, Meo has adapted extremely well to indoor life. He is discovering all sorts of great things as he gets used to his new environment. His favorite toy is his feather wand toy, and he also loves playing with toy mice! He is a total love bug and adores getting pets from his foster mom, rolling around on the ground and snuggling.
He is definitely a “Velcro” kitty and would be perfect for someone looking for an extremely affectionate buddy. Meo follows his foster mom around like a little shadow, and will gently mew if he loses sight of her. He is very patient with his new foster kitty siblings even though they are still a little hissy with him — he would probably do well in a home with a friendly and calm kitty who will welcome him in!
Little baby Meo is still getting used to household sounds, and certain loud noises still scare him. He’s gaining his confidence every day. His ideal adopter would be a family who is willing to help him continue coming out of his shell, and understand that he needs a calm environment at first to really feel safe. Just a little bit of patience will be repaid a million times over with love, loyalty, and a perfect new little addition to your family!

Meo would thrive as an only cat in a home with lots of love and attention, or if adopted with another friendly kitty or to a home with a friendly resident cat. Meo has not met a dog but we feel that with proper slow introductions, he could get along well with a calm, cat-savvy pup sibling! The key to Meo’s success is a calm and stable environment where he can finally feel safe and at home.
Meo is ~1.5 years old, neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy, all he needs now is his forever home.
Meo is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!
