Birch is about 6 years old, I got him from a farm when he was 2. He is EXTREMELY affectionate and his ideal household would be someone who wants a lap cat and constant companion- he needs a lot of attention to be happy. I’ve always pictured him as the ideal pet for someone elderly but he would be happy in any setting where his people are home a lot. We have 3 small children and he’s extremely patient with them. He had ear mites long term while living on the farm and suffered scaring in his ears because of it, the vet said this will make him more prone to ear infections for the rest of his life. He also doesn’t do well on cheap food or chicken so his diet needs to be a high quality fish recipe. He needs to be rehomed because he no longer gets along with our other cat (long story but the other cat was hospitalized for a few weeks about a year ago and Birch has never liked him again since he got home, at this point we have thousands into vet bills for the other cat so Birch has to go).
