Sass is a beautiful older gal (turning 10 this summer) who's still absolutely full of love and ready to bring warmth and companionship to a lucky home. With her gorgeous floofy hair that gives her the most luxurious, soft appearance, this sweet senior kitty is a true stunner — her luxurious coat and gentle eyes make her look like a living plush toy.
Though she's an older lady, Sass hasn't lost one bit of her affectionate spirit; she adores gentle pets, quiet lap time, and simply being near her people, offering endless purrs and head rubs in return.
She's the perfect companion for someone seeking a calm, devoted friend who knows how to appreciate the simple joys of life. Sass would thrive in a peaceful home where she can relax, receive lots of love, and continue spreading her sweet, loving energy every day.
Sass is fairly indifferent to other cats - she can coexist with one, but doesn't much care either way - and friendly toward our test dog.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Sass is a suggested minimum of $35 or Senior for Senior (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Filling out the application in no way commits you to adopting - it simply enables us to get you preapproved, in case you decide you want to adopt. If you are then approved and offered a pet placement, you may always refuse the placement. If you accept a placement, we always give you three days (for puppies and kittens) or thirty days (for adult dogs and cats) to live with each other; if during that time you decide that your new pet simply won't work out, for any reason, we will accept the pet back with a full refund of your adoption donation. You could either return the pet directly to us, or have it picked up on our next transport! I must say, we are very proud of our successful placement record - we really work hard to make sure you and your pet will be a great match.
If you are out of our immediate area, we ask that you email some photos of your home, yard (including fence if you have one), any "animal-specific" areas (such as a dog run, cat tree, or sleeping area) and any other pets you currently own. Sometimes photos enable us to skip the pre-adoption home visit, which can speed things up considerably for out of area adoptions! For the vet reference, either a vet who is seeing your current pets, or a vet who saw a former pet, is acceptable. If this is your first pet ever, congratulations on joining the pet world! :-D We will consider your application without a vet reference, but we would like to know what vet you think you will use for your pet. Without a vet reference, please be sure to provide at least two strong personal references who would know how you are with animals.
If we have an upcoming transport scheduled to your area, we will make every effort to process and approve your application in time for the transport.
