🖤 Meet Ashen — a soul as gentle as his heart 🖤
Ashen is a stunning panther estimated to be around 13 years old who is looking for a soft spot to land in his golden years. With an adorable white patch on his chest and thoughtful eyes, he is an affectionate and gentle boy who brings calm and comfort to those around him.
Ashen enjoys the simple things in life — long catnaps, a full bowl of food, and love from his human. After too many years outside, he’s ready to relax indoors, watching the birds and daily soap operas with someone special. Even at 13, he still enjoys wand toys and a little catnip as part of his peaceful routine.
Ashen is looking for a home where he can receive plenty of love and pets while living his best, coziest life. He is currently eating a prescription kidney-support diet and is doing well on it. He has also recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and has started medication.
He is hard of hearing, but that certainly doesn’t stop him from knowing when the squirrels are rustlin’ outside his window. Ashen has a few age-related health items that will need ongoing monitoring, including blood pressure, a mild heart murmur, and dental care down the road, but these will be managed as part of his routine veterinary care after adoption. In return, he offers soft purrs, gentle companionship, and the sweetest wet nose boops.

About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

All potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.
