My name is Lizzie!

We are a no-kill physical animal shelter located in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Our animals are assessed by a licensed veterinarian. All dogs and cats receive a comprehensive wellness exam, distemper, rabies (if old enough), are dewormed & medicated for flea/tick/heartworms (as a preventative). We also do FIV/Feline Leukemia testing and 4Dx testing (Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasm and Heartworm). Occasionally, we will receive a very sick animal who will require significantly more vetting than others and those vet fees are offset into the adoption fee. This would be why some animals are priced higher than others. We account for other factors as well in determining their adoption price such as age.

Our process is quite simple. We require meet & greets for all of our animals. We want to make sure it's a compatible match for both the animal and family. Our goal is to make the placement a permanent one and that every animal lives in a loving, safe and happy home for the duration of its life.

We practice same day adoptions for most animals. Occasionally, we have some animals who are in high demand which we would then open up an "adoption application" window. This allows anyone who is interested to be able to fairly submit their application and allows us to place the animal in the proper home based on their needs.

For same day adoptions, we kindly ask people to submit their applications ahead of time. This allows us to be efficient and allows us to properly review the application.

Please note: we may receive many applications for one animal however our goal is to properly match the animal with the proper family. For that reason, we may deny an applicant if we feel it is not the right match.
