My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leo & Simba - A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home

Leo and Simba are an inseparable duo with hearts just as big as their personalities! These two best friends are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue sharing life side by side.

Leo is the playful one who absolutely loves balls, ropes, and chew toys. He's a smart boy who already knows sit, down, drop, shake, stay, and come. Leo is fully housetrained and enjoys both playtime and showing off his good manners.

Simba is a gentle, curious soul who likes to explore his surroundings at his own pace. He knows sit, come, down, drop, shake, and stay and is also fully housetrained. Simba's calm, sweet nature makes him a wonderful companion.

Together, Leo and Simba balance each other perfectly-playful and gentle, fun and affectionate. They would thrive in a home ready to welcome double the love, loyalty, and companionship. If you're looking for two devoted best friends, Leo and Simba might be the perfect match for you!

Additional adoption info

Before you Adopt
Pet adoption is a big commitment. We encourage you to spend considerable time thinking about and researching the type of pet most suitable to your family. Most breeds have their own characteristic traits and specific needs which need to be considered. Remember that some animals have lifespans of 20 years or more.

Prospective adopters will meet the following requirements:

- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have two pieces of identification, with at least one showing your current address and a picture.
- ALL FAMILY MEMBERS, sometimes including family pets, must be present during the adoption process.
- If you already have a dog and are considering adopting another one, you MUST be prepared to bring your current family dog to the interview. This will help you to determine if all family members and existing pets will get along with the new pet.
- If you live in rental accommodations, please confirm that your landlord allows the type of pet you are considering, and that you have paid your pet deposit before you adopt. There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES if the building owner does not accept the animal. In addition, you will have to pay all regular surrender fees if you need to return the animal to the Edmonton Humane Society.

If you are looking to adopt a dog or puppy please note:
Some of the dogs on our web site have recommendations on the age of younger family members. These restrictions are placed out of the concern of the dogs as well as in consideration of families.

Remember that new animals arrive every day. You may have to return to the shelter a number of times before you find a good match. It is better to wait and come back again than it is to take home an animal who does not suit your lifestyle
