Meet Gemelli.
Gemelli’s story could have ended very differently. Born outside, she survived her first winter only because a kind family let her stay in their basement when the weather turned bitterly cold. This winter, her luck finally changed, she was rescued, brought indoors, and given the chance at the life she always deserved. For the past month, Gemelli has been recovering from her spay surgery, getting healthy, and learning what it feels like to be safe and loved. And now she’s ready for her forever home.Gemelli is estimated to be about 8 months old, and she’s blossomed into a sweet, playful, affectionate girl. She loves toy wands, happily comes running for wet food, and enjoys being near her humans. Even though she once lived with other cats, she’s made it clear that she’s happiest as the only kitty, relaxed, confident, and soaking up all the attention for herself. She’s tiny, adorable, and promises not to leave fur all over your clothes and furniture… because she’s a sleek black kitty who matches everything. Gemelli is ready for a home where she can be cherished, spoiled, and adored as your one and only.If you’re looking for a loving companion with a brave little heart and a shiny black coat, this beauty is waiting for you.
Gemelli is vaccinated, spayed, and healthy (fiv negative and felv negative)

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
