Hi, my name is Arrow. I’m approximately 4 years old and 22 pounds. I’m searching for a family to spoil and pamper me at all times of the day and night. In return I promise to give lots of beagle kisses, cuddles, playfulness and entertaining beagle antics.
I love to be picked up, carried around, snuggled and given lots of back scratches and belly rubs. My foster mom says I’m the most affectionate beagle she’s ever had. I do love my humans! If you want to become my permanent human, you will have to say goodbye to your personal space. I follow foster mom all around the house and whine if I can’t be in the same room with her. I could use a little help with my separation anxiety, but I am a real sweetheart. I can’t stress enough how much I love to snuggle and give kisses.
I am great with other dogs. I’m even happy to share my human’s lap with other dogs. I just squeeze myself right in there and get some snuggles from both my human and my beagle sibling. I would really enjoy having another energetic young dog to play chase and bitey-face with me. I LOVE to run and play. My favorite toys are stuffies – durable ones or else I shred them. Stealing socks and slippers is one of my many talents. Foster Mom says now that I know I’m safe, I’m reliving my puppy days.
I do not like crates. During the day, I do NOT like to be away from my humans as it makes me anxious. I would not do well with long periods of alone time. At night I sleep in the big bed with the humans.
I am a great car rider. I am still working on potty training. This is another area where I would be helped by having another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I am quite the follower and like to do what the other dogs do. I’m generally submissive towards other dogs.
Please consider becoming my lifelong human family. Love and kisses, Arrow.
NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

More about this rescue
Midwest Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare, Inc is a 501(c)3 non profit, all-volunteer organization located in the Midwest, funded by donations and dedicated to rescuing beagles from high-kill shelters. Our foster homes provide loving temporary care until we are able to find them well matched, carefully screened forever homes. By working with local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities we are able to give proper medical care to the beagles in our program. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition. We adopt beagles to families within Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and have also placed beagles into loving homes in Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri.
