Meet Marley, our very own soulful "Buffalo Soldier" who has officially traded the outdoor life for the comforts of the couch! Just like his legendary namesake, Marley is a natural-born performer who loves to talk—or sing—to his humans, and he’s always looking for a partner to chat back. Since moving inside, he has adjusted beautifully and proven to be a low-maintenance gentleman with perfect litter box manners and a healthy appetite. He’s the definition of "chill," often seen plopping down right in the middle of the floor to hang out or observing the household from the safety of a cozy, enclosed cubby. While he’s a fan of his independence, he’s becoming quite the sweetheart; he’s starting to enjoy lap time and will happily lean into ear scratches, cheek rubs, and even a good brushing. When it comes to playtime, Marley is starting to find his inner kitten—especially if there is catnip spray involved, which sends him into a total frenzy! He is incredibly patient with other felines, including feisty foster kittens; even when they hiss at him, he just gives them a look of calm confusion. He’s also been very curious and calm when sniffing other resident cats under the door. However, Marley is making it clear that he’d prefer a life without "canine backup." He isn't a fan of dogs and will growl or hiss to protect his peace, so he’d likely be happiest in a dog-free home where he can be the star of the show. If you’re looking for a mellow, talkative companion to remind you that "every little thing is gonna be alright," Marley is your guy! Apply to adopt Marley today at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. He is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, and FIV/FELV tested negative. His adoption fee is $50. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
