Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stevie Nicks ✨
Just like her namesake, this 10-month-old beauty has a soft, soulful presence that quietly pulls you in. Stevie Nicks is still learning that the world isn’t so scary — and every day she gets a little braver, a little softer, and a little more ready to let someone all the way in.
She’s a very chill girl who prefers calm vibes and gentle energy. Loud entrances? Not her style. But soft voices, slow movements, and especially treats? Now you’re speaking her love language. Treats are the key to her heart, and once she realizes you’re the one delivering them, she starts to lean into affection in the sweetest way.
Stevie is still “learning to love,” which just means she’s going to bond deeply with her person. She’s the kind of cat who will blossom beautifully in a patient home — one where she can take her time, build trust, and become your quiet little shadow.
At just 10 months old, she has so much life ahead of her. With a little patience (and maybe a few extra treats), Stevie Nicks is ready to write her next chapter — hopefully curled up in your home. ✨An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00

More about this shelter
At DeKalb Humane Society, we are passionate about finding forever homes for the pets in our care. Whether they are cats, dogs, or other furry friends, our mission is to provide them with a loving and nurturing environment.
We also believe in the importance of education about responsible pet ownership. We strive to educate our community about pet welfare, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.
By adopting a pet from us, you are not only gaining a lifetime companion, but you are also contributing to our cause and helping us raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals.
The DeKalb Humane Society filed for our Certificate of Incorporation on December 23, 1975 and we were granted 501(c)3 status in March of 1976. We are committed to being a no-kill shelter and serving the DeKalb County area.
