This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Meet Gus & Smokey, a bonded pair of sweet senior gentlemen searching for a soft place to land for their golden years.
These two recently lost their beloved owner and, through no fault of their own, found themselves surrendered to an overcrowded shelter. Now they’re with us, hoping someone will see what we already do: two loyal best friends who deserve comfort, love, and stability.
Gus, the adorable little doxie, weighs in at about 17 lbs and sticks close to his buddy at all times. His BFF Smokey (about 22 lbs) is a delightful mystery mix, complete with a nub tail, big expressive ears (maybe some corgi in there?), and major Eeyore-style soulful vibes that will melt your heart.
Both boys are estimated to be 10–12 years old, have been neutered, and just had dentals, so they’re all set and ready for their new “leash” on life.
Is there someone out there willing to open their heart and home to these two precious seniors and give them the peaceful, loving retirement they so deserve?
