Lucky is an 8-year-old terrier weighing in at a perfect 24 pounds—and she’s proof that resilience comes in small, snuggly packages. This sweet girl has had a rough start to life, but her heart is still wide open and ready for the right home.
Lucky loves snuggles just as much as she loves to play, and despite her age, she’s full of energy and personality. She does well with cats, adores kids, and is pretty solid with her basic commands. She’s smart and eager, though she’s still working on being fully housetrained. She does well going into a crate, which helps with routine and structure.
She’s only been with us a short time, and while she was understandably cautious when she first arrived, we see her confidence growing more every day. Lucky has had two guardians in her lifetime—first surviving a heartbreaking start after being thrown from a car as a puppy, and later being surrendered due to her owner’s work schedule and lack of time. Through it all, she’s remained loving and hopeful.
Lucky will do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard where she can safely burn off energy and enjoy some freedom. Her ideal adopter will be patient, kind, and willing to let her decompress and adjust at her own pace, offering consistency, reassurance, and love.
Lucky has already overcome so much—now she’s just waiting for someone to choose her and show her what forever really means.
