My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Merrick! 🐾
Merrick is a 1-year-old schnauzer mix whose tail truly never stops wagging—from sunup to sundown! This happy, playful boy is wonderfully dog-friendly and loves to run, romp, and play with any four-legged friend who’s up for fun.

When playtime winds down, Merrick is all about his people. He adores human companionship and happily soaks up attention, cuddles, and quality time. At night, he sleeps soundly in his crate without a single whimper, making him an easy addition to the home.

Merrick’s silly antics are guaranteed to keep you laughing, and he only uses his voice when he needs to let you know he’d like to go outside. Sweet, playful, and a total cuddle bug—Merrick is ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless tail wags to his forever family. 💛🐶

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
