If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Chief was adopted late 2024, after being surrendered at six months old for growing too large for apartment living. He came from a home with small children/cats and was shy and sweet, having spent much of his early life crated. What I found was one of the most loving, loyal, and joyful dogs I’ve ever known.
Chief is truly everyone’s friend, dogs, cats, kids, adults, big or small. He loves the dog park, daycare, and making new friends wherever he goes. He’s well known by his vet, daycare staff, and dog park regulars for brightening everyone’s day.
He has basic training(sit, stay, shake, lay down) is crate, kennel, and house trained, and can walk off leash, though he does want to greet everyone. He’s gentle taking treats, quiet in the home, and only barks when someone rings the doorbell.
Chief does best with 1–1.5 hours of daily exercise and lots of affection. He would thrive with an active individual/family with older children and would love a canine companion, though he’s great alone
