My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otter is a black male cat who has endured more hardship than most, and he is still finding his footing in a world that once treated him unkindly. He was found in Unity in a semi-truck yard, covered in oil and suffering severe frostbite. Tragically, both of his ears were entirely lost to the cold, and his tail is currently stiff and may also be lost. Understandably, Otter is fearful and very nocturnal, choosing to eat and use the litter box mostly when people aren’t around. Despite everything he has been through, Otter shows glimpses of the gentle soul beneath the fear—he does purr and enjoys affection once he feels safe, even though he is clearly still processing the trauma he endured. Otter will need a quiet, patient, and compassionate home where he can move at his own pace and learn that he is finally safe.
