Meet Kai
Kai is a sweet senior Chihuahua, about 10 years old and a petite 8 pounds, who is looking for a loving new home. She has spent her life as a beloved, pampered companion, but sadly her owner can no longer care for her.
Kai is calm, gentle, and affectionate—an absolute lapdog who loves to be close to her people. She is very quiet and well-mannered, making her a wonderful companion for a peaceful home. Kai is good with other dogs, house trained, and crate trained.
She has received excellent veterinary care throughout her life, including regular dental cleanings. Kai does have glaucoma and takes a daily medication, which is inexpensive and easy to manage.
Kai is okay on a leash, though she hasn’t had much practice due to her former owner’s mobility limitations. She would do well with short, relaxed walks or a home where she can enjoy cuddles and companionship.

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting.

Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.

All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
