Mars is a very loving and affectionate female tuxedo. Came to us abandoned and pregnant, unwelcomed by colony cats. She loves people! Any people, any time! Great with kids! And wants to be the focus of attention. She has mild anxiety that we are able to manage without medication, but she does need daily attention to keep her feeling confident. She is a great cat for someone needing a die hard best friend. Mild mannered and she will tolerate a couple other pets, but too many increase her anxiety and prevent her from feeling happy. Outgoing with people, introverted with pets. She does not act out toward other pets, but she does get fearful and we would like to see her go to a home with no more than 2 other pet's who have laid back personalities. We give her daily probiotics to keep her digestion running smoothly because small emotional upsets can create GI problems for her. This method of treatment has been approved by our vet.
She does have litter box preferences. Needs 2 boxes. If you have another cat, please have at least 3 total and clean out poop daily.
Favorite Toy: snake on a pole
Favorite Past Time: Attention from you
Spayed, microchipped, current on fvrcp and rabies vaccination, utd on broad spectrum antiparasitics, dewormed, fiv/felv negative

More about this rescue
KitUmbra Rescue Cats is a registered 501(c)(3) (as DBA under Loving Light Holistic Wellness) nonprofit cat rescue working to minimize community cat suffering in York County, PA and surrounding areas through rehabilitation, fostering, socialization, and adoption of injured or abandoned felines; neuter/spay, vaccination, and microchipping of every feline in our care; organization, supervision, and fundraising of community TNR efforts; provision of low cost cat vaccines, microchips, and dewormers for community members in need; and public education on responsible and humane cat ownership, holistic behavior training, and community TNR.
We are a disabled and family owned business started by a hopeless creative & compassionate soul who accidentally fell into cat rescue and decided to stay here. It's what happens when the neighborhood labels you "cat lady" and you answer the call😂.
We hope to continue expanding our operations from year to year. We are passionate about serving our community, both the felines and the humans, and we will always do whatever we can to help!
