My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flower is a super sweet gray tuxedo female who needs a patient and committed adopter to get her comfortable in a new home. Super soft with a slender build.
She loves to knead and love on you but it will take her time to adjust to a new home. You will be given some anti anxiety medication to help with her transition. She does not need them always, but homing has failed in the past due to increased anxiety and this is what our vet recommends.
She does alright with other pets and is fine with children, but can also be a bit possessive when it's time for her morning and evening pets and may step on other's noses to get them. She does like to cuddle with fellow felines but prefers laid back personalities. Needs her own bowl because she gets scared of the other cat's movements while sharing and may not finish eating. She will hide while you are busy or while she is sleeping if you aren't there to sleep with. She does come out around the house just not as often as other residents and not when visitors are here. She does come out for meals. She will always come out to you when you are in the area you normally connect with her in. And she learns your routine and will always come with you to bed. She gets impatient if you're late!

She is just a timid personality, but she needs love and wants to bond. She may avoid strangers, but once she warms up to you, you will have a forever friend. Will sit on your lap and cuddle but doesnt love to be picked up.

Favorite Toy: snake on a pole
Favorite Past Time: Bedtime Cuddles

Spayed, current on rabies and fvrcp, chipped, fiv/felv negative, utd on broad spectrum antiparasitics, dewormed, vet checked

More about this rescue

KitUmbra Rescue Cats is a registered 501(c)(3) (as DBA under Loving Light Holistic Wellness) nonprofit cat rescue working to minimize community cat suffering in York County, PA and surrounding areas through rehabilitation, fostering, socialization, and adoption of injured or abandoned felines; neuter/spay, vaccination, and microchipping of every feline in our care; organization, supervision, and fundraising of community TNR efforts; provision of low cost cat vaccines, microchips, and dewormers for community members in need; and public education on responsible and humane cat ownership, holistic behavior training, and community TNR.

We are a disabled and family owned business started by a hopeless creative & compassionate soul who accidentally fell into cat rescue and decided to stay here. It's what happens when the neighborhood labels you "cat lady" and you answer the call😂.

We hope to continue expanding our operations from year to year. We are passionate about serving our community, both the felines and the humans, and we will always do whatever we can to help!
