Please help us welcome two of the most wonderful hounds we have had at our Shelter - River and Beau! Some say that if you've met one hound, you have met them all, but River and Beau prove that is just not so. River is the tricolor hound with the cutest dappled ears. River was found wandering in a neighborhood with no one to claim him. Which is even more heartbreaking when we have come to learn that all River wants is to be next to someone, like in their lap next to them. He is happy-go-lucky and loves all toys and other dogs. Beau was an owner surrender - not his fault, though. That gets said a lot in rescues but we know it to be true in Beau's case - he is absolutely amazing. Just like River, Beau values people and their company. And while we love being the ones Beau and River lean on and into, we can't help but wish their forever families could be quickly found so they each have someone to lean on for the rest of their lives. River and Beau seemed to have made a pact to keep each other company while they wait - they each have a goofy play style and rely on each other as they wait for their families. It's a great stress reducer to have a buddy at the shelter. River is 2-years-old and Beau is 6-years-old and they are waiting for you to come share in their fun! Come visit them at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton VA. Open every day between 9AM and noon! Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!
PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
