Russell is a healthy, intelligent, and athletic 2yo male Australian Shepherd looking for the right long-term home. He is house-trained, great with other dogs and cats, and does well with both men and women.(He has not lived with kids but would ideally live in a kid-free home or older kids home who knows to not to pull tails)
Outside the home, he has no issues with strangers and enjoys being out and about.
Russell loves bonding with his people, is very smart, and thrives on structure and routine. He has worked with both an obedience trainer and responds well to positive reinforcement. He is still working on managing stress when unfamiliar people enter his home, which is why a low-traffic household is important for his success.
Russell would do best with an active individual or couple who can provide consistency, predictability, and a calm environment. Unfortunately, I am not the right long-term home for him due to frequent visitors related to caregiving responsibilities.
