Mammon is a adorable male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on September 30, 2025 along with several other kittens because the family had too many cats and was unable to give them the care that they so desperately needed.
Unfortunately five of the kittens passed away soon after being brought to our shelter. Thanks to the loving care of our HSOV Kennel Techs, Mammon survived in addition to seven of his siblings/housemates (Agent Two, Beelzebub, Millie, Loona, Oz, Striker, and Verosika).
Mammon has a shiny black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute chubby kitten face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
Mammon was estimated to have been 6-weeks old when he entered our shelter and weighed 2.1 lbs. He was given vaccinations on October 18, 2025. Mammon was given booster vaccines on November 6th and November 22nd 2025. He weighed 4 lbs on November 22nd. Mammon has also been given Drontal wormer.
These photos were taken on January 10, 2026 when HSOV kennel techs Lauryn Hamilton, Madison Lee, and Hannah McClain assisted Mammon and his housemates with their 'big boy/big girl' photos. This big boy was all about fun-and-games and exploring new territory in our 'studio'. Mammon is good with children and other cats/kittens. He tends to play rough with other kittens and will likely be a large kitty when he reaches maturity.
Mammon will be neutered (tentative in February 2026) before being adopted by his new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized).

The HSOV Adoption application is available at our shelter during normal hours of operation and may also be completed online via our website.

Shelter management reviews applications for approval. If approved, potential adopters will be notified.

All HSOV dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted and going to their new home.

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter.
Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.
Adoption fees for other species varies.
