Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gray Mitten! She is a 6.6-pound gray-and-white beauty with a tender, cautious heart. She’s naturally shy and prefers to take her time warming up to new people and new spaces. With slow, patient introductions, her true personality begins to shine — a sweet, observant companion who loves quietly from the sidelines before stepping forward for affection.
Once she feels safe, Gray Mitten reveals a playful, curious side that’s impossible not to adore. She enjoys gentle interactions, cozy resting spots, and the comfort of familiar routines.
Most importantly, she is deeply bonded to her best friend, Kiki. The two rely on each other for confidence and comfort, and they thrive as a pair. Gray Mitten’s soft bravery and Kiki’s calm presence make them a beautifully balanced duo who are meant to stay together.
These two are a bonded pair who can’t imagine life without each other, so they’ll need to be adopted together. To help make that happen, only one adoption fee applies!
If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
