Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Harold - "Hard‑Headed Harold"
A big head, a big heart, and a whole lot of love.
Harold earned his nickname partly because he can be a little stubborn, and partly because... well, he's literally one big hard head. But behind that tough exterior is a giant teddy bear who adores people and wants nothing more than affection.
About Harold Breed: Rottweiler Age: Estimated 3 years Weight: Over 100 pounds of pure love Temperament: Happy, social, affectionate
Harold is a joy to be around. He's a big love bug who enjoys meeting new people and soaking up attention. He walks fairly well for his size, but adopters should be comfortable handling a large, strong dog.
Other Animals
Harold hasn't shown any signs of disliking other dogs, and we're open to a meet‑and‑greet with any resident pups. Cats, however, are a different story - he's a little too interested in them right now. We can do additional cat testing if needed, but we believe Harold's ideal home would be cat‑free.
Health Up to date on all vaccines Neuter appointment will be scheduled No known medical issues at this time Ready for His New Life
Harold came to us as a stray, and no owner has come forward. Now he's ready to start fresh with a family who will appreciate his goofy charm, giant cuddles, and happy‑go‑lucky spirit.
Come meet this big lover boy and let his smile win you over. Primary Color: Black Weight: 92.8 Age: 3yrs 0mths 3wks

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
