My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

  • 4 years old
  • Neutered male
  • Did well meeting older children at the shelter
  • Has done well with another cat at the shelter
  • No known experience with dogs

Ink Spot is a confident, social guy who loves being right in the middle of things. He doesn’t enjoy being alone and will call out to you looking for attention. Curious and adventurous, Ink Spot likes to explore and keep tabs on everything happening around him so closed doors are not his favorite!

He’s very affectionate and will follow you around in hopes of pets, head scratches, or a good brushing session. Ink Spot would thrive in a loving home with plenty of people around to give him the attention and affection he craves and deserves.

Ink Spot has been waiting a while to find his family so his adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take him home!

For dogs, if there are any dogs currently living in the home, a scheduled and supervised interaction with the prospective dog is required. Additional requirements may apply depending upon the individual animal.

Upon adoption, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide the animal with the care and medical treatment he or she needs throughout his or her life. More about this shelter

The HSJC is located in Jefferson, Wisconsin and is a small, privately run non-profit shelter that has been in operation since 1922. We recently celebrated our 90th year of caring for dogs, cats, birds and other small animals in need. Each year, close to 1,000 pets find sanctuary at our shelter. We put forth great effort to reunite owners with lost pets and to find good new homes for those who need a second chance. We do not impose a time limit on how long a healthy, adoptable animal may stay with us as they wait to be adopted.
