Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there... Im Sirius Black. ??
Im about 3 years old, full of energy, and always ready for my next adventure. If youre the kind of person who loves long walks, staying active, and having a loyal sidekick by your side, we might just be the perfect match.
Ill be honest-sometimes I dont make the best first impression in my kennel. Being outside and all that noise can make me look a little intense. But once you actually spend time with me, youll see the real me: a sweet, super smart guy who just wants to play and be part of your world.
I already know some cool stuff! I can sit, lie down, give paw, and play a great game of fetch. In fact... toys are kind of my thing. When I get really excited about a ball, I might chatter my teeth. It can look a little scary if youve never seen it before, but its just my funny way of saying, Throw it again! Please! Lets keep playing! ??
Because Im such an active boy, Id really love a home with active adults who can take me on walks, play with me, and maybe even give me a job to do. Im happiest when my brain and body are busy.
Id probably do best in a home with older kids, since Im a strong guy who sometimes forgets how big I am. I can also get a little mouthy when Im excited, but Im eager to learn and just need someone willing to keep guiding me.
What I really want is a person-or a family-who will see past the kennel and give me the chance to show how awesome I can be. I promise Ill bring a lot of fun, loyalty, and goofy ball-chattering excitement into your life

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.
2.
Meet the Pet
We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.
3.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.
Additional adoption info
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
