arl needs a special home 🩶 (hospice - potentially long term)
Please share far & wide!
Earllllllll - our once resident bad boy who turned “hospice” is looking for his permanent place to crash.
Earl was turned into TCC in 2024 as a singleton kitten with a bad attitude. Because he had been deprived of companionship of other kittens, he’s the poster child for “single kitten syndrome”.
We’ve tried multiple placements, but he doesn’t do well in larger crowds of cats & we’ve recently learned that he’s verrrry clingy when he has a human all to himself too.
Back in Sept, we came in one day to find Earl on death’s door. He was flat out and clinging to life and we were told euthanizing him wouldn’t wrong because his chances of recovery were slim. But we couldn’t let him go out without a fight & we got him stabilized at VEG.
A follow up with cardiology revealed he has HCM, and prognosis after the first episode of CHF is generally capped around 2 yrs.
Earl might have a bad heart but he’s loaded with energy. His current foster works very long hours and he’s not a fan of that. He wants to play a LOT & would really thrive with someone who’s home a lot to get that energy out.
Multiple cats were too much and no other cats with a foster who works long hours seems to not be enough to keep him balanced so we are looking for a good balance for him for whatever time the universe gives him. Either an adopter who works from home or potentially a home with another playful cat or kitten who can also handle the Earl smoke while tolerating his quirks.
Since his case is so special, we would continue to cover the cost of his heart medication & cardiology care post adoption - we just want him to be happy & stay enriched so he can be on his best behavior!
Earl does get overstimulated & has his bratty moments, so no small children.
If you think you fit the Earl bill and want to give him that perfect balance that he needs, please fill out the adoption application below:
