If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Due to a terminal illness, I have to find a home asap for my beloved Chuck, a beautiful senior Maine Coon who showed up on my doorstep nine years ago fully grown, fixed, and has never had a health issue. She is very sweet and affectionate, and is happy being a lap cat or just curled up on the sofa on her own.
She is healthy, box trained, likes to go outside and watch the world, but is perfectly happy being an indoor cat, which is what she has been for the past year. She never strays far if she does go out, and comes when you call her.
She doesn’t play noisily or jump all over you, doesn’t bite or scratch, and I have never seen her in a bad mood. She is a big girl and not a jumper, but doesn’t have arthritis or hip dysplasia, she’s just about 12.
I don’t want to find her a new home, but I need to, as I have a terminal illness and need to find someone who will loved her for the rest of her life, which will be several good years, as she is very healthy.
