My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Rowlf!

Rowlf is a 17-week-old Belgian Malinois × Miniature Pinscher × Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a soon-to-be medium-sized frame. He sports an irresistibly scruffy face paired with the athletic body and coat of a shepherd—equal parts rugged and charming.

True to his mix, Rowlf is friendly, feisty, and full of curiosity. He has a wonderful balance of energy and affection: ready to play, train, or explore during the day, and perfectly happy to curl up and cuddle in the evening.

Rowlf is already showing impressive promise when it comes to trainability. He’s learning his name, doing very well with housetraining and crate training, and has begun picking up basic obedience cues. His eagerness to engage and work with people makes him a joy to train and an excellent candidate for continued learning.

This puppy would thrive with a dog sport enthusiast or an active individual or family who enjoys hiking, running, and staying on the move—but still wants a dog who will happily settle in for couch time at the end of the day. With the right structure, outlets, and continued positive training, Rowlf is shaping up to be a fantastic companion and adventure partner.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
