Meet lemon. He was in our rescue when he was just 8 weeks old. He is AKC registered, and has been professionally trained by Morgan with Lock it Down Training who I love! She is an amazing trainer. After Lemon went home, his owners decided that they would train him a different way then Morgan trained him, and decided that using the tools that Morgan gave them, and taught Lemon with, maybe wasn’t the best way, so they tried their own way, and now are seeing behaviors they don’t like. They have a toddler, an infant and are pregnant and they decided that it would be best for their family, if we rehomed him. Morgan will be taking him back for a week or so in the beginning of February to give him a refresher course, and we would love to have picked out Lemon’s family by then, so that you can go through the training with Morgan and Lemon so that you can reep the benefits of a completely trained rottweiler puppy!! You won’t find a better opportunity than this!! He is only 7 months old! Beautiful and has about $4000 in training invested into him! Interested? Please go to www.rottenrottie.com and fill out an application. You must live in the phoenix area to adopt him, since his trainer lives here and we are wanting his new owner to utilize her to keep him the best version of himself.
Adoption Process:
If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, “not-so-rotten” Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our Adoption Application by visiting our website at www.rottenrottie.com, clicking on Adopt a Rottweiler ➡️ Adoption Application, and submitting the form online.
After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally.
We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption.
Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a perfect match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and would like us to consider your application, please fill out our Adoption Application.

This allows us to get to know you better and make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by visiting our website, www.rottenrottie.com, clicking on the forms tab, filling out the questionnaire, and submitting it online. After reviewing your answers, if we feel that the dog you are interested in is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. Finalizing the adoption requires an adoption contract to be signed, and we ask for a rehoming fee. For most of our adults, a typical rehoming fee is $400. Most of our seniors over 6 years of age, and our Rottweiler mixes are typically $250. We also address any injury or illness they had when they came to us or received in foster care. We will disclose the problems to the adopter prior to adoption.
