Meet Our Gentle Giant in Training
This sweet adolescent large-breed girl is an easygoing dream. She’s naturally mellow, calm, and has that “old soul in a young body” vibe. She’s not demanding, not wild, and perfectly content with a relaxed pace of life.
She’d be happiest in a quieter home—think cozy routines, leisurely walks, and plenty of couch time. An older or low-key household would be right up her alley, as she doesn’t need (or want!) constant stimulation to be fulfilled.
Because she’s still learning about the world and hasn’t experienced much chaos yet, she wouldn’t be a great match for a super busy or unpredictable environment right now. But with continued positive socialization, patience, and guidance, we believe she could grow into a dog who handles new situations with grace.
With her gentle heart, steady temperament, and love of people, she may even be a wonderful candidate for therapy dog training in the right 24/7 home committed to helping her shine.
If you’re searching for a big, soft companion who just wants a calm life and a loving person, this girl might be your perfect match
Are you ready to shower Sophie with all the love and care she deserves? Submit an application today!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
