It breaks our hearts to make this decision, but we are seeking a new home for our family dog, Diesel. Over the past seven months, our family has experienced major changes, including the birth of our son and an unexpected move, which have been difficult for Diesel to adjust to.
Recently, he has shown signs of stress and discomfort around children. While he has never bitten, growled, or shown his teeth, these behaviors indicate that he is overwhelmed and unhappy in our current environment. For everyone’s safety and well-being—especially Diesel’s—we believe it is in his best interest to find him a new home. Diesel is a rescue who previously went through rehabilitation to help him learn how to simply be a dog again. He has spent time around other dogs and children in the past, but given his recent stress-related behaviors, we feel he would thrive best in a calm, quiet home without other dogs, cats, or children. Diesel is 4 years old and will require a special diet (Hill’s Science z/d).
