My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bowser!
Bowser is a 2-year-old Cane Corso who was thrown out by his owners this past week along with another dog. After a bit of coaxing them as they were very scared and unsure, our staff were able to safely secure them.
Bowser seems to do well with other dogs and is a big snuggle bug. While he does love Luna, the Chihuahua mix that came in with him, they can be adopted separately. But if you're looking for twice the love and an easy way to provide comfort for a new pet - they are available together as well!

More about this shelter

The Paris Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) is a private 501(c)3 organization, established in 1992, which runs an animal shelter located in beautiful Paris, Kentucky. As a private organization, we are solely dependent on private donations and community support.

Our mission is to save and protect homeless animals through responsible adoptions, to provide humane care for all animals entrusted to us, to advocate for animal welfare, and to enhance the human-animal bond by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people in our community.

P.A.W.S. serves mainly Bourbon County, taking in stray animals and those relinquished by their owners. We are managed admission, which means we take in by appointment. Despite being a small organization, we took in almost 1700 animals in 2015. At P.A.W.S., we do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals.
