My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Denji
1 year, neutered male, 10 lb
Pomchi (best guess)

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Denji is silly and playful and likes to run and have zoomies with a buddy dog. He is a bit shy when he meets new people and takes a little time to trust. He is treat motivated, which helps him decide who the good people are.

LIKES: Running, playing, making up silly games, standing on top of things like a goat, treats, snuggling with his friends.

DISLIKES: Fast movements by strangers, grouchy dogs who don't appreciate his silliness

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Goes outside on a regular schedule, and has had no accidents inside his foster home.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Crate trained, readily goes in and out on command.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Denji would really benefit from having the company of another playful dog to help him adjust to his new life and give him someone to gain some confidence from. His leash skills are also very new to him, so he will need a fenced yard to allow him to potty while he's working on them.

To further inquire about DENJI, submit an application.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how DENJI will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for DENJI as well as his future family.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with an online application, submitted via our website. We do not guarantee a response, but will reach out if we think that it's a good fit and then arrange for a meet and greet. We do not hold dogs for more than 48 hours for a meet and greet, and if the dog is scheduled to go to an adoption event it will not be held back. We do not transport dogs out of area. We do same-day adoptions at our meet and greet appointments and adoption events. We offer a one-week trial period to our adopters to make sure that things work out, and we encourage adopters to be familiar with the 3-3-3 rule for dogs. We also highly encourage puppy classes for our puppies, as training is very important in ensuring that dogs stay in their forever homes.
