Name: Paris
Age: 10 months
Weight: 45 lbs
Gender: Female spayed
Breed: Lab mix
Good with dogs/kids, fully house broken and crate trained!
Meet Paris —and yes, she’s every bit the little heiress you’d expect (minus the tiny purse).
Paris came to us from Alabama, where she and her sister were found as puppies in rough shape—skin and bones. Thanks to foster care, both girls have absolutely flourished. Her sister has already found her forever home in WNY, and now it’s Paris’s turn to live her best life.
Paris loves to play fetch. She doesn’t always return the ball right away, but she definitely understands the assignment. She’s also perfectly content entertaining herself with a tennis ball—batting it around the house and pouncing on it like a cat, which is endlessly funny to watch.
Speaking of cats, Paris previously lived with cats in Alabama and did well. In her current foster home, she’s still adjusting to her feline friend and would happily give chase if given the chance, but it appears playful rather than aggressive. She’d do best with a dog-savvy cat who isn’t easily intimidated and knows how to stand their ground.
Paris has a very gentle mouth and takes food and treats like the princess she is. She sleeps in her crate all night without a peep, happily goes in on her own for downtime, and loves playing chase in the backyard with her doggy foster brother. Stuffed toys, Benebones, and—of course—her beloved tennis ball are all big hits.
Like most adolescent dogs, Paris is still working on her basic manners, including not jumping up on people and brushing up on basic commands. She’s a smart girl and eager to learn, and with consistency, we know she’ll pick things up quickly.
Paris adores the 5-year-old child in her foster home and loves playing fetch with her. She can get a little over-excited at times and may jump, so she may be best suited for a home with older or sturdier kids while she continues working on her manners. That said, it all comes from a place of pure enthusiasm and love. Overall, she’s a very well-behaved, affectionate pup who genuinely loves being around people.
An added bonus? Paris rides great in the car and has not had a single accident in her foster home (as Paris Hilton would say, that’s hot!). She goes out every few hours and potties right away—which is a huge plus, especially during Buffalo winters.
Did you know that black dogs are the most overlooked in shelters? Don’t do that to this sweet girl! Paris is ready to trade her foster life for a forever one. Are you ready to welcome this little socialite home?
If you are interested in Paris, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
