Hi there! I’m Lydia, and I’m so glad you stopped to read about me!

I’m a 1-year-old, medium-sized girl with lots of energy, love, and personality packed into one happy pup. I’m spayed, dog-friendly, and I love playing with my doggy siblings—running, wrestling, and chasing toys are some of my favorite things! When I’m all played out, I turn into a big cuddle bug and would happily snuggle up with you.

I’m still learning some important life skills and working on my crate and potty training. I’m a smart girl and making progress every day! I’m good with kids, but because I can be a little enthusiastic and don’t always realize how strong I am, I’d do best in a home with older kids. I’d also do best in a home with no cats.

I’m truly a sweetheart who just wants to love and be loved. I’m ready for a family who will help me keep learning, give me lots of playtime, and let me be part of their lives forever. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion, I might just be your girl. Could I be your forever Lydia?

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Here at Cross Your Paws Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save lives. We are doing our part in making the world a better place for all pets. Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
