My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hammy is a 4-5 year old male Russian tortoise. His owners say he is a social boy once he warms up, like most tortoises. Hammy was super shy for his pictures as you can tell, but we are hoping that we can get some better pictures of him once he warms up in his foster home. We will update his posts once we figure out his behaviors and what some of his favorite foods are. Hammy came into our rescue on January 18 and will be ready to go home on February 18 but don't wait to reach out if you are interested in adopting him! He is currently our only Russian tortoise and they tend to get adopted relatively quickly so don't miss your opportunity!

We would love if Hammy's indoor and outdoor enclosures could both be 8'x4' to give him plenty of space to move around. Since these guys tend to dig, we would also recommend the outdoor enclosure being dug into the ground a bit so he can't escape.

If you are interested in adopting Hammy, please reach out to us at christinaspets@netzero.net, text us at 610-390-1655 or start an inquiry on this page.

Additional adoption info

All adopters submit an inquiry after finding a pet they are interested in. We will then go through any inquiries and ensure the animal will be going to a suitable home (photo proof of enclosure set up is required). From there, we will be in touch about setting up a time for potential adopters to meet the animal. Adopters will then sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and take the pet home.
