She’s gentle, people-focused, and deeply appreciative of soft voices and slow pets. Amara recently had several painful teeth removed and is now finally comfortable—something every cat deserves, and something she waited too long for.
Amara is FeLV positive, which means she needs to be an indoor-only cat and either your one-and-only or live with another FeLV-positive cat. What it does not mean is that she has any less love to give.
She’s calm. She’s affectionate. She’s tired of waiting.
And she would make a beautiful companion for someone looking for a quiet, meaningful connection.

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
