My name is Bao Bao!

Bao Bao is a 7-year-old lady with a soft heart, a round little belly, and just the right amount of sass. She was found as a stray and kept safe in a kind person’s garage until she could come into rescue, and she has been thoroughly enjoying the indoor life ever since. When Bao Bao first meets new cats, she may offer a polite hiss or two to announce her boundaries — but don’t be fooled. She is not aggressive at all and is currently doing great living with multiple other cats. Once she settles in, she’s calm, tolerant, and very much about peaceful coexistence. Bao Bao is a bit overweight (same, girl, same) and has a slight waddle when she walks, mostly because she could use a little muscle-building in her legs. She’s otherwise healthy and happy, and a home where she can move at her own pace will suit her perfectly. She’s a floor sleeper by choice and has a deep love for one specific cat bed at her foster home — generously sprinkled with catnip. Whether it’s the bed or the nip that has won her heart is still up for debate, but either way, she’s committed. Personality-wise, Bao Bao is the kind of cat who will always be nearby without being underfoot. She enjoys your presence, keeps you company, and brings a quiet, comforting energy to the room without demanding constant attention. Plump, slightly grumbly, and entirely wonderful. And as a bonus? Bao Bao received a full spa day when she came into our care — nearly an hour of brushing and pampering — and she tolerated it like an absolute champ. Grace under pressure.
