Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Brownie 🤎
Brownie is a sweet recent mama who’s finished raising her puppies and is now ready to begin a brand-new chapter, one that’s all about her. She’s gentle, loving, and has a wonderful balance of independence and affection.
Brownie enjoys exploring with the other pups around the barn, but she’s never far from her people for long. She’s also been wonderful with cats and other dogs, making her an easy addition to a multi-pet home.
When adventure time is over, Brownie is all about the snuggles. She loves being held and cuddling on the couch, soaking up every bit of affection she can get. With her calm, sweet nature, she would be a great fit for a family with kids.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who’s ready to leave mom-life behind and settle into a loving home, Brownie could be the perfect match. 🐾💛
All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
