🐶 🐕 MAPLE Female Border collie Mix just under 1 year, 20 lbs & AVAILABLE – check out more photos and see the rest of our dogs on our website -- https://norcalbcrescue.org/available-dogs/our-dogs/ 🐕 🐶
MAPLE is a darling little 20lb border collie mix and just shy of one year old. She was named MAPLE after her coloring but turns out it is even more fitting than that because she is also as sweet as MAPLE syrup.
First and foremost, MAPLE aspires to be a lap dog and lucky for her (or you) she is small enough to be just that! She loves nothing more than cuddling up on a blanket next to somebody, but if that is not an option her next place of choice would be somewhere simply comfortable and warm. We blame her short coat and the cooler temps but MAPLE definitely prefers to be indoors, especially if that’s where the people are. MAPLE loves people, both the familiar and unfamiliar.
MAPLE enjoys all the things that dogs do. She loves to play with her fellow foster siblings and snuggle up next to them for nap time. She enjoys a good pet and treats and is easily motivated by both. When she cannot convince anybody to play with her she’ll make do with a dog toy. MAPLE is learning all about manners on leash and despite being easily distracted she is very directable and will have walking on leash down in no time. She shows too much interest in smaller animals so would likely do best in a home without cats.
MAPLE is house and crate trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate both overnight and in the car. She knows “sit” and “no”. Despite her young age MAPLE has shown no interest in chewing anything but dog toys. She is also appropriate with children. MAPLE really is the full package and if you’ve got an empty lap she just might be your girl!
MAPLE is micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) and wish to inquire about MAPLE, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
MAPLE is being fostered in Vacaville, Solano County, CA.
