My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*BONDED PAIR - Gouda must be adopted with her brother, Fromage.*

Fromage and Gouda are sweet, silly, deeply affectionate kittens who have been inseparable since birth and fully intend to stay that way. This brother and sister are always together, always cuddling, and always scheming their next round of zoomies.

Fromage is an absolute sweetheart with a warm, snuggly soul wrapped in a classic tuxedo coat. This handsome gentlemen loves cuddling under blankets and firmly believes that if you are under a blanket, he belongs there too. He has the cutest little trill meow that he uses to call out to you, and if you answer him, he will come running your way, chirping all the way long. He is an instant purr box and loves being held and carried like a baby.

Gouda is an absolute gem. She has the softest black-and-white coat, a tiny smile that always seems to linger on her face, and bright eyes that sometimes go adorably cross-eyed when she looks up at you. She’s gentle and expressive, always seeming to melt a little when she’s held (hence her name). She is affectionate, silly, and full of personality. Her favorite place to be is tucked into the nook between your shoulders and chin, where she can snuggle as close as physically possible. Gouda loves to show you her belly, especially when she wants attention or treaties. Like her brother, she purrs loudly and often.

This bonded pair is high-energy, loving, and endlessly entertaining. They love other cats and do well with dogs too, though our senior dog Rosko would gently like it known that he does not appreciate being enthusiastically chased every morning while they go after his wagging tail.

Together, Fromage and Gouda would thrive in almost any loving home where they can play, snuggle, and watch birds together. They are very people-oriented, adore attention and love being held. Because they love chasing pant legs, they may do best with older children who find that sort of thing charming. If you’re looking for a bonded pair that is affectionate, playful, and genuinely joyful to live with, these two are ready to bring a lot of love (and a little chaos) into your home.

Gouda was born around August 26, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Farmington.
She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
