My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Nacho Supreme was born in Laramie around October 2025 to a feral colony. While afraid at first, Nacho made a decision a few weeks into foster care: this was the life for him — and he has never looked back. Now he greets his foster family with unfiltered joy, instant purrs, and enthusiastic requests for scritches. He plays with complete kitten abandon, throwing his whole heart (and body) into every chase, tumble, and pounce alongside his brother Gordito.

Every now and then, when there's strange new noise or visitors, Nacho seems to remember that he was once a wild little street cat — but that memory fades more each day as comfort, safety, and affection take its place. What remains is pure sweetness wrapped in soft gray-and-white fur. Nacho is a supreme lap cat--if your lap is taking reservations, he'd like to book it every night of the week.

Nacho is connected at the hip with his bonded littermate Gordito. He is friendly and polite with older cats in his foster household as well. We can already tell he’s going to grow into an energetic, enthusiastic, joy-filled companion who approaches life head-on. Life with Nacho Supreme will never be boring!

For his confidence and adjustment to his adopted family, we recommend he be adopted with his partner in crime, Gordito, and to a family with older, respectful children only. Both cats will need an adopter willing to be patient, trustworthy, and take introductions slowly with them as they learn how to live with humans. Nacho is ready and willing to learn, but he just needs some time and gentle guidance, and he will be the best cat you've ever known.

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
