Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful, Loving, Shy
Please welcome Penelope, a gorgeous lady looking for the special home to call her very own!
Not much is known about Penelope's history, but she is one cautious girl. It takes her a good while to warm up to new places and new people. She is also fairly sedate, but that's probably just her being too anxious to relax into play. In spite of all that, Penelope has shown to enjoy giving and receiving affection.
Penelope's favorite place to hang out is in her current foster's bed. Not quite ready for high intensity snuggling just yet, Penelope does like curling up near you. And although still generally shy, Penelope is not afraid to ask for pets. She will meow a lot when she wants some and especially requests her true delight - neck scratches! When engaging in this activity with her, you'll truly see her sweet side emerge.
There is truly something special about watching a shy cat come out of her shell, even if slowly at times. Knowing that you are providing a home where Penelope feels safe enough to let her full purrsonality shine is a reward in itself. Taking the time to understand her will also provide lots of opportunities for bonding as you each figure the other out.
Are you the patient family that Penelope is hoping to find? Contact us about her today!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
